Sun Roof

Has anyone figured out how to open sun roof using tilt feature and have the sun shade closed.  It appears that even though the sun roof is tinted, it get excessively warm.  Would be nice to open and use the tilt feature to let air circulate.  Vehicle is  2013 GLK.
